ASME flange series
ASME B16.5 / B16.47 / B16.48
Choose an ASME flange by dimensional standard, structure, facing and material. Send the mating pipe size and service conditions so the complete flange specification can be checked before quotation.
- Standards referenced

Selection questions
What should I include in a flange enquiry?
Provide standard and edition, size, material specification and grade, type, pressure designation, facing, quantity, and design pressure/temperature. Include a mating drawing when drilling or bore dimensions are critical.
Does the pressure designation equal the working pressure?
No single operating-pressure value follows from PN or Class alone. Confirm the applicable pressure–temperature rating for the selected standard, material and temperature.
Can flanges of the same nominal size be connected directly?
Check the exact standard, bolt-hole count and diameter, bolt circle, bore, facing and gasket arrangement. A matching size label alone does not establish interchangeability.
